Yesterday we visited the Whistler Olympic Park for some sledding and soul nourishment. No words that I could type can describe the stunning beauty of the area, so I will not even try. Instead, let me provide a few photos with a few quotes by some very wise folks.

Go forth under the open sky, and list To Nature’s teachings.
William Cullen Bryant

Climb the mountains and get their good tidings.  Nature’s peace will flow into you as sunshine flows into trees.  The winds will blow their own freshness into you, and the storms their energy, while cares will drop off like autumn leaves.  ~John Muir

I believe that there is a subtle magnetism in Nature, which, if we unconsciously yield to it, will direct us aright.  ~Henry David Thoreau

I thank you God for this most amazing day, for the leaping greenly spirits of trees, and for the blue dream of sky and for everything which is natural, which is infinite, which is yes.  ~e.e. cummings

“It’s shiny snow! The sprinkles are twinkling!” ~Kaya

“Look Dad, it’s a Penguin Fairy!”

“Where? I don’t see it.”

“Right there! Look! Can’t you see it?”

“I see it too Dad. Look, look! Right there. So many fairy penguins flying and dancing!”

~Overheard conversation between two sisters and their Dad snowshoeing

Rich with the spoils of nature.
Sir Thomas Browne
