Photo Catch-Up

In the five days since I last wrote, we have visited Bright Nights in Stanley Park, had Kaya’s Christmas Concert, went to the library Christmas party, partied with Gammy and Gampa, visited Grouse Mountain and had a cookie decorating dance party play date. We are busy though not too busy to be enjoying it all. Soaking up all the goodness and twinkles and snow. Yay snow!

Bright Nights has become tradition. We meet up with Auntie and Uncle and ‘oooh & aaawww’ over all the lights. Then they get to go eat out and we have to leave to put the kidlets to sleepy time. A couple more years of that until Bal and I drop them off with Auntie and Uncle while Mom and Dad sneak out for dinner. Alone. Can you even imagine? Ooooh… Awwww….
The train which, I have to say, gets more impressive every year.
Brennyn enjoying the lights.

Kaya enjoying the Grinch.

Snuck in a photo while the girls played on the bed in pj’s with a strand of white and red lights tangled in their toes.

Friday’s clear skies and warm sun came out of nowhere. So we took to the ocean for a walk, some snacks and some much needed outdoor play!

Preschool Christmas Concert. I only managed two photos. I think Bal got some video. What can I say? It was loud, chaotic and crazy sprinkled with a whole lot of deliciousness.

Gammy and Gampa stayed at a hotel. That alone is so very cool in Kaya’s eyes. But a hotel with a pool and a huge yellow, tunnel slide is out of this world. Brennyn even had a go!

Then we took to Grouse Mountain where we rode the Gondola, skated on the outdoor rink, took a sleigh ride, visited real reindeer and frolicked in the snow. Fun, fun, fun!

The snow fell while we skated. An hour later the sun shone while we went on a sleigh ride. Then the icing, a rainbow.

I took myself a moment, or two, and soaked in all that snow-filled beauty so it would still be with me for Christmas. Then we headed home. This is my view coming in to town. I may not get a white Christmas, but just look at this gorgeous scene we call home. It quite literally takes my breath away.

And in the back. Well, these two girls, dreaming of reindeer and snow and Santa. The days are good. 5 more sleeps!
